Even Patricia, the gruff pastry cook, shows a softer side as she mentors Lexi in the art of baking.
As Lexi lives her dream, the only thing she has to do is choose from the array in life’s patisserie display window: her familiar home, friends, and family in Seattle or her new life in France. Lexi discovers that as she leans more on God the choices become a little clearer– and making them, well, c’est la vie!

This sounds like an interesting book. I can relate to moving to a new place and not knowing anyone and people not really that friendly and how hard it is to feel like a part of the community. I can't imagine what Lexi went through with the language barriers too!

I envy someone who is willing to take a risk to make her dreams come true! I'm not like that! My grandparents left their families to come to America to make a new life. I'm glad they did but I know I would never have been able to do it. I enjoy reading about someone that can do this. I also love books that have recipes in them! lol
