One True Love by Lori Copeland - Review

Copper is overjoyed that her friends Willow and Audrey found love and fulfillment after the war. The only remaining spinster, Copper vows to pour herself into her new teaching job. But tragedy strikes during her very first week. The schoolhouse catches fire and Copper suffers a serious injury while ushering her students to safety. Suddenly she's on a wagon train bound for Colorado to see the only doctor who can help her walk again.
Ever since the wagon train pulled into town, Copper butted heads with wagon master Josh Redlin—and now she must depend on him for her very life. But as Copper is forced to count on others for life's basic needs, she starts to surrender...and let her guard down around the one man whom she's despised for so long. Could it be that the very person that drives her crazy is the one she truly needs?

One True Love is a heart-lifting story of love, faith, and courage from the author of Three Times Blessed and Twice Loved. Readers of Lori Wick, Beverly Lewis, and Tracey Bateman will be enchanted by One True Love—indeed, anyone who loves beautifully written, inspirational Christian romance will be thrilled to accompany one of its most accomplished authors to the American West for an eventful and unforgettable adventure of the heart and spirit.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars
The entire Belles of Timber Creek series was fun to read. Following along the journey of three quirky, but lovable, opinionated and adventurous friends. This book is the final book coming after Twice Loved and then Three Times Blessed and it was a great way to fully get to know Copper. From the first chapter of the first book I knew that Copper was my favorite and was eager to hear her story. Now that I have, I'm glad to have read this series as it was a great time in a triple romance.

This book has so much more than the rest of the series in a way of Biblical lessons for me. Learning to let go and let God as well as true forgiveness of one's self are true hard lessons. In this story they are shared in a very vivid light. I highly recommend the entire series as well as other series and books from author Lori Copeland.

A Kiss for Cade by Lori Copeland

A Kiss for Cade (The Western Sky Series)

Bestselling author Lori Copeland shares another marvelous romantic Western full of God’s grace, the beauty of redemption, and second chances.

Famous bounty hunter Cade Kolby is forced off the trail to decide the fate of his late sister’s orphaned children. He’s not just returning to his hometown and nieces and nephews, but also to the fiery redhead he loved and left 17 years ago.

The last person Zoe Bradshaw wants to see is Cade. She tries to be cool and polite, even as the attraction between them flares up again. Only this time, Zoe is determined to not let Cade get close to her heart.

But the townsfolk have other ideas. They want to see the little orphans with a mother and a father, and they form a plan that includes the possibility of a kiss...
The Courtship of Cade Kolby (Avon Romantic Treasure)
Formerly titled The Courtship of Cade Kolby, rewritten for the inspirational market.

About the story: When Cade Kolby rode his horse out of town hot on the trail of a wanted man, he didn't wonder how he would leave the bounty hunter lifestyle behind.

Now the deaths of his sister and brother-in-law prompt a return visit and Cade once again sees Zoe, the fiery redhead he left so many years ago. He promised Zoe he'd come back. Seeing the beauty that has grown both inside and out, watching her love the children his sister left behind, Cade wonders anew why he never did return. Yet a bounty hunter cannot form the kind of ties he now desires. Wanted men will only see his loved ones as pawns to hurt Cade.

So Cade must walk away again, this time from both the woman he loves and his sister's children. There's no other way. Or is there?

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The romance that makes you squirm at the characters and scream at their blind spots for love makes me smile when I read it in a book. Much in the way that I enjoy the comedy and romance of Mary Connealy, I really enjoyed this story from Lori Copeland. I have read some of her other new books such as those from Avon Inspire and enjoy them. Yet this series from Harvest House is even better.

A Kiss for Cade is the second book in The Western Sky Series, but the first one for me, and now I'll have to go find a copy of Outlaw's Bride because I enjoyed this one so much. Cade is not sure what his future will be, but with the death of his sister and forced return to the people of his past things are even more confusing. This is a story that brings out the pain and pressure of Zoe's early years, but realizes after fighting it that God is in control and will make things work out in his own time.

The thrill of a bounty hunter's life with a show down on the streets with the madness of the town taking over one's romantic future is an amusing tale that will entertain you and cause inward sighs. Lori Copeland did well in this novel. It is a great one to enjoy around the romance of Valentine's Day or anytime. Snuggled in your favorite reading spot, you'll be swept away into a western romance that will keep you feeling the love long after you turned the last page.

More please.

Three Times Blessed by Lori Copeland -- Review

Three Times Blessed (Belles of Timber Creek, Book 2) Three Times Blessed by Lori Copeland

How will Audrey and her fellow schoolmarms stay afloat when a flood threatens their small Texas town?
Typically, Thunder Ridge, Texas, is dry as a bone. But Audrey Pride has arrived under a storm cloud, one that is deluging the shocked community with weeks of relentless, drenching rain. With travel in and out of town rendered impossible, there is much important work for her to do—especially when an epidemic of violent illness, originating from a stranded wagon train, spreads rapidly throughout Thunder Ridge. Caring for the sick is consuming Audrey's every waking hour...yet her thoughts keep returning to the attractive widower Eli Gray.
Eli has long been haunted by the fact that he was away at war when his beloved wife died in childbirth. Little by little, however, he is opening his heart again. Now, as their town sags under the crushing weight of water and disease, Audrey and Eli will need to depend on each other in ways they never imagined possible.
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Three Times Blessed is the second novel of the Belles of Timber Creek and picks up right where the first novel, Twice Loved left off. I am looking forward to the third book in the series One True Love with much anticipation.

This book contains a love story that is tragic and common in the old west, but still just as beautiful. The particular book in the series contains a lot of death and sadness. But it also contains hope and blessings. Through the good occurrences and the bad, the characters are able to find their strong suit in the Lord and to continue on. I agree with some that the death did start to get a bit heavy, but in the end it is a great book and just shows more of the good writing from Lori Copeland.
