I'm back!

Internet is up and running at home, and I cannot tell you how glad I am!! I have so much to catch up on. I hope you will not become too overwhelmed with the posts to come. I think at this point I only missed one FIRST tour, which I'll post up tomorrow. Then I need to share with you bunches of guest reviews and other reviews that have been pending in my head.

Yes, yes... I'll get on to sending out some books. I'm sorry for the delay. While I was on and off, I received two blog awards, which is just too cool. Talk about a Birthday!

As you may well know, Tuesday was my birthday, 24th to be exact. According to my mother back in 1984 she went into labor on a Sunday and I was born Monday morning around 7:34 or so. I trust her, I think she was there and would know. *grin*

So the big present, other than money from the 'rent (parents), DH bought me (us) a camera!


It is the neatest thing. It makes him happy, because there are a lot of various specs and modes and it does technical things. *grin* He understands them and loves them, and it's simple for me to use in AUTO mode. *wink* I've already run around and taken various pictures of the house, my Quilting Den, cats, and nieces. Now, I just need to take a good nature walk with it... make a few quilt blocks and now I'll have proof that I really am a quilter!

The camera is completely awesome and I am definitely in love with it. But! That is not the neatest most nifty thing I got in blog world, no... that would be my gift from Lindsey of A Kindred Spirit's Thoughts.

I get back on the computer this morning, after having a relaxing day and habachi sushi dinner with my DH last night and what do I find while combing through my google reader feeds, but that I have been selected for a blog award! This is my first! And what a great birthday gift!! So excited!!! (Can you tell?) Lindsey has presented me with the I Love Your Blog award, I have wanted one of these since I first saw it, and was curious if ever one day it might happen to me, and on my birthday of all days! How cool!!!
