Dear Family and Friends,

We hope that you are all well and enjoying the summer. Hard to believe it is summer because we are beginning the rainy season here which is our winter filled with rain, cool weather, and days when the clouds are all around us so we don't see the sun. I have laundry hanging on the drying rack daily now and sometimes it takes 3 or 4 days to dry with all the humidity in the air from the rain. The fireplace helps because I can put the drying rack in front of it and it adds in the drying process.

We wanted to give you an update on what is happening with the land purchase. We only have $15,000 more to raise to own the land. The rumors are still going on about the mining. There is a big town meeting on Friday of this week to discuss how to protect "ourselves" from the devastation that will come if the mining company does come into the area. Some of the young men have gone to investigate the consequences of the mining in a town where the mining company is currently working. Please continue to pray that God would provide for the needs of trust among the people and the process of purchasing the land.

This will make sure that the funds are directed to the account for the land and not to us personally. The info on the memo line will let the office know how to direct the funds correctly.
