Batik Stars - lay out

Now today, after endless hours of cutting the sashing, borders, and binding. Then sewing 96 itty bitty squares into triangles, then crawling around the floor in an effort to align things properly... I have this picture to show for it!

Now, I wait for the last two blocks, and one border fabric to arrive.

Meanwhile, I can start sewing them together, if going at an angle with agree with me...

Your quilting is amazing.

The other day I was a thrift store and I saw this whole box of quilting magazines and books and for some reason I thought of you and wondered if you'd "grab them." I might have considered buying them, but I TEACH school and quilting simply doesn't make it into my schedule!! I do admire your pictures everytime you post some!

Thank you for the compliments!

I might have bought the box, it depends on what the patterns would have been, I would have flipped through to see if I liked anything.

With all of the book reviewing I have been too busy for quilting, and lately I have had just too strong a craving to quilt and absolutely no desire to read... it is interesting how time is figuring things out.

Lindsey, I am still a novice myself, but I could teach you a couple things, depending on what you want to learn. *grin*

I really love it! I wish I could do something like that. Do your cats bother you when you work on it? LOL I know mine wouldn't let me get anything done!

Carol, it really depends on the day. This day was funny, because as you see them in the picture they literally just slept all day. Some days Patches (brown kitty) will chase flying fabric, but Hershey (black kitty) just provides himself as a fabric warmer. *grin*

I know what you mean. I tried to wrap all my Christmas presents when it was nap time! lol

Oh, when I mentioned a picture, I think it's actually on a previous post for this quilt a day or two before.

My cats are not so much into wrapping paper, but my Dad's cat is. It is scary and ridiculous Christmas morning with the kitty in the room. LOL

I did go back and found the pictures. I love looking at everyone's cats! We have Christmas at my daughter's house now so there isn't a problem with the wrapping paper. I do remember how my first two cats loved to play with it when my children were young. I miss that.
