A HORRIBLE BOOK! What's the Big Deal About Other Religions by John Ankerberg and Dillon Burroughs

What's the Big Deal About Other Religions?: Answering the Questions About Their Beliefs and Practices What's the Big Deal About Other Religions?: Answering the Questions About Their Beliefs and Practices by John Ankerberg

rating: 0 of 5 stars
This book is despicable. It is the worst and most tainted horrible non-fiction book written for Christians that I have ever endured the pain of reading. I do not recommend this book for anyone. It's not even worth the paper it is printed on. When I first found the book, I was so excited and thinking that this would be along the lines of something that would have been of great benefit to me during my schooling where I received my BA in Religious Studies. Boy was I ever wrong! This book is one of those that twists scriptures and peoples quotes to make it fit whatever point they are trying to make. I am thoroughly disgusted and severely angry at the waste of time and effort that was put into something that could have provided such a blessing. Don't waste your time on the junk that is referred to as a book.

UPDATE: Overall, they really messed up everything about a book that could have been a major outreach to other faiths, sharing similarities and showing why Christ's love is the only true love that matters. But instead, I think with this book that they have made something stand out that is going to be more fuel for the fires of those who are scared and do not understand Christianity. They give Christians a really bad name, and are the type of people that divide our spiritual souls more instead of gathering them toward a one world faith that knows Truth.

I'm sorry you didn't like it MJ. Raised Catholic, I understand where some people would truly hate this book.

Most of the books that I have on the FIRST alliances, I do not get a chance to preview.

The first book with the Catholic Evangelist had a few people upset too.

You should have seen the emails I had for the science book too! But, I am glad that we can all state our opinions and still love each other.

I know we have Catholics, Protestants, and Mormons in our alliance. I'm really sorry if anything offended you.

(There are some books that really irk me the wrong way too. So, you aren't alone with getting angry over a book!)

Hopefully, you'll love the next one.
