Blogoversary Giveaway #10

Giveaway #10, From Blushing Bride to Wedded Wife by Marla Taviano. A Winner will be chosen on October 18th.

From Blushing Bride to Wedded Wife: Practical Advice from a Girlfriend--What Marriage Is Really Like

Marla Taviano shares her no–holds–barred look at the first year of marriage with a sassy style that will keep readers captivated to the end.

Young brides will laugh out loud, sigh with relief, and nod in agreement as Marla takes a refreshing, biblical look at everything from impossible mothers–in–law to disappointing sex, from toilet seats left up to that confusing word “submission.” She provides important tips and truths about such important topics as...

  • keeping expectations realistic
  • fighting fairly
  • communicating about money, sex, and in–laws

A young woman herself, Marla also includes time–tested advice from older godly women. This honest and compassionate manual encourages married women to see what God can do in and through them and their marriages.

If you are married, what is one thing you wish you had known before entering in? If you are not married, is marriage something you look forward to? Why or why not?

I guess I wish I had known more about men in general and what makes them tick. I have been married twice and the second one stuck! We've been married 11 years. It's been a learning experience, but a loving one too.

I'm not married yet. Marriage is a bond of love between two people, but as time goes by, whether or not this bond becomes loose depends on the power of love. I'm willing to give it a try.

I wish I would have known a lot of things, one of them being that my opinion of what communication is and his opinion of what it is are totally different. I like to talk about my thoughts. He likes to sweep them under the rug.

Q: If you are married, what is one thing you wish you had known before entering in?

A: It just seems that men are so great in the beginning, and then you marry them!! LOL I wish I would have known that Marc has little patience for anything! ARGH!
I found this out AFTER he slipped that ring on my finger!
