Giveaway: The Swan Thieves by Elizabeth Kostova

This giveaway is closed.

Why do you want to read this one?

Thanks to Hatchette Book Group I have up to FIVE copies to give away!! This is a general market title and I have not read it. Depending on how many people enter the more I will giveaway. This giveaway is open to US & Canada Only. Deadline for entries is January 18th.

The Swan Thieves: A Novel

Psychiatrist Andrew Marlowe, devoted to his profession and the painting hobby he loves, has a solitary but ordered life. When renowned painter Robert Oliver attacks a canvas in the National Gallery of Art and becomes his patient, Marlow finds that order destroyed. Desperate to understand the secret that torments the genius, he embarks on a journey that leads him into the lives of the women closest to Oliver and a tragedy at the heart of French Impressionism. Kostova's masterful new novel travels from American cities to the coast of Normandy, from the late 19th century to the late 20th, from young love to last love.

I am actually really interested in seeing how the psychiatrists journey turns out. I understand the stress of an ordered life being tuned upside down. Thanks for the chance.

After seeing a description of this book I knew I'd have to read it: "THE SWAN THIEVES is a story of obsession, the losses of history, and the power of art to preserve human hope." It sounds too good to miss! utgal2004[at]yahoo[dot]com
