GIVEAWAY: One Perfect Day

Giveaway: One Perfect Day by Lauraine Snelling

One Perfect Day

published October 22nd 2008 by Faithwords
binding Paperback
isbn 0446582107 (isbn13: 9780446582100)
pages 288

This is the story of two mothers, strangers to one another.

The first has two children--twins, a boy and girl, who are seniors in high school. She wants their last Christmas as a family living in the same home to be perfect, but her husband is delayed returning from a business trip abroad. And then there's an accident--a fatal one involving a drunk driver.

Meanwhile, the other mother has a daughter who needs a new heart, and so the loss of one woman becomes the miracle the other has desperately prayed for. While one mother grieves, and pulls away from her family, the other finds that even miracles aren't always easy to receive.

This contest ends on October 17th. Leave a comment here, and on at least three other posts. All relevant comments please to be counted. And do not forget to leave a way for me to contact you!

Oh, I love Lauraine Snelling's books. She is great. I have many of her books. I was able to see her in person last fall she was in my area. Wonderful lady. I'd love to be included in this drawing.

That cover is gorgeous. I don't think that's the same cover as on the ARC is it?

I agree it is gorgeous. I do not know about the ARC, I have a final print, and the picture matches. :) I can just stare at it. I never see that much snow... Might travel this year to make it happen...

What a stunning book cover! What a beautiful story line. My dad had two cornea transplants this year and his site has improved dramatically! He is 90 years old and we are so thankful for the cornea donors. Please enter me in your book drawing. Many thanks, Cindi

Sounds like a beautiful and heartwrenching story that I'd enjoy reading. I had a friend lose his daughter to cancer about a year ago and it was tough to watch the family going through all the questions and uncertainty while she was receiving treatments and the tumor progressed.

I benefited from a life-saving organ transplant myself when someone was killed in an accident some years ago. I can relate very well to this story. I would like to be entered, thank you.

First of all I love the cover of this book. It is really a very interesting cover.

This sounds like a wonderful story, even if it's not about the holiday.

I can't imagine what the one mother is going through looking for a miracle to save her child. WOW! That is so sad.

I have a friend name Kasey who has brain cancer that spread to his spine. We hope and pray that he'll live to see another Christmas. I guess this is why this book touched me and piqued my interest.

Thank you so much for the wonderful giveaway.

At this point there is only one person in the running, because she is the only person to have followed the simple directions to comment relevant thoughts on other posts... There is still time... Open until midnight tonight.

Okay, make that two ladies...

This sounds like a book I know I would enjoy reading even though I've never known anyone who had a transplant. Sometimes it's good to read a story like this. It makes you realize how lucky you are if you are healthy. It also gives you hope. Thank you for the chance to win it.
